There is also a surprise appearance from the ladies out in Eugene, Oregon. Kicks On Court: Dion Waiters’ Kobe VII iDs

Although the Kobe 8 System officially hit retailers today, the Nike Zoom Kobe VII is still a popular shoe amongst NBA players today. Today, we take a detailed look at Cleveland Cavaliers rookie and Kobe VII aficionado Dion Waiters’ footwear. In last night’s game against the Celtics, Waiters wore a black, yellow and burgundy Kobe VII that is easily one of the better NikeiD creations we’ve seen on court this season. What are your thoughts on the Kobe VII versus the Kobe 8 System? View these kicks plus more, worn by Paul George, JR Smith, Nick Young and others, in today’s edition of Kicks On Court. Kicks On Court: The Black Mamba Eclipses 30,000 Points in Kobe VII iD

Last night, Kobe Bryant became the youngest NBA player to eclipse the 30,000-point mark. He did so in an iD colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII. This pair, which he first debuted in Dallas a couple of weeks ago, features a mainly grey upper with purple hints in the form of the tongue, laces and heel cup. It is also finished with a white Swoosh and midsole of the same color. View detailed photos of the Black Mamba’s Kobe VII in today’s edition of Kicks On Court. Congrats to Kobe Bryant for joining Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain in the 30,000-point club. College Kicks On Court: Best of Challenge Week

We love college basketball because it pits top-ranked teams against each other in early season tilts. After we gorged during “Feast Week“, this week we saw the ACC/Big 10 and SEC/Big East Challenges and the Wooden Classic match up some of the nation’s best teams. Of course, we focused on the sneakers, as the Miami Hurricanes brought even more heat to the Sunshine State and the Nike Air Foamposite One “Pearlized Pink” made its way to amateur courts in a major way this past week. San Diego State still held strong, as did the Arizona Wildcats. However, UNLV is making a strong case to be in contention as the team of the West, namely Anthony Bennet, and Ryan Harrow of Kentucky who was the first to bring out an iD version of the Nike LeBron X. Needless to say, things are

Kicks On Court: PJ Tucker Brings Out Exclusive CB34 Against Knicks

Former UT Longhorn standout PJ Tucker gets his first Kicks On Court headline by wearing a classic Charles Barkley signature in an exclusive colorway. Specifically, he wore the House of Hoops exclusive Nike Air CB 34, a shoe that only hit shelves at the House of Hoops in Harlem during the fall of 2008. Besides the Phoenix Suns-esque black, purple and orange color scheme, this shoe features a reptilian texture throughout the midfoot and reflective 3M accents in various places on the upper. Did you purchase or pass on these Air CB 34s in 2008? View these kicks plus more, worn by Pau Gasol, Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith and others, below PJ Tucker contesting a shot in the Nike Air CB 34 House of Hoops Exclusive Carmelo Anthony in the Jordan Melo M8 Advance and PJ Tucker contesting a shot

Kicks On Court: Knicks Unveil New PEs and iDs at MSG

You have to love the New York Knicks color scheme. The combination of blue and orange looks good on most, if not all basketball sneakers. In last night’s blowout win against the Wizards, a few of the Knicks players took to the court in new player exclusives and NikeiD creations. First off, Rasheed Wallace wore yet another new Air Force 1 PE, which features sort of a reverse color scheme to that seen on his “Away” Air Force 1 PE. Specifically, it is primarily constructed of white premium leather with photo blue and team orange hints. JR Smith also turned heads with his white, photo blue and team orange iD KD IVs. Tyson Chandler wore one of the nicest Hyperdunk 2012 PEs we’ve seen in Kicks On Court this season and Pablo Prigioni laced up a Knicks-esque Zoom Kobe VI

College Kicks On Court: Preseason Tournaments Heat Up

The early NCAA Basketball season is filled with Preseason tournaments. Teams compete in Coaches vs. Cancer, 2k Sports Classic, Old Spice, etc. Tournaments even stretch over to Puerto Rico. Before college basketball is kicked up to another level during “Feast Week”, college ballers pulled out some heat on court. Nike Zoom KD IV iD, Nike Zoom Kobe VII, and more rarely seen Jordans ruled the day. Click through the image gallery that recaps the kicks worn on court this past week, and keep your eyes peeled for a few wildcard, non-ranked teams rocking dope sneakers as well. We may have a contender with San Diego State in the Pitt Panthers for “Team of the Year”, but don’t sleep on the Red Storm of St. John’s showing team unity. Levi Randolph (University of Alabama) and Tyler Thronton (Duke) are making strong

Kicks On Court: DeMar DeRozan Continues Jordan Streak With “Playoff” 11s

DeMar DeRozan continues to switch his Jordans up on a nightly basis. One night after matching his career high of 37 points in the “Fire Red” 5s, our Kicks On Court column spotted him in the “Playoff” Air Jordan 11, the most anticipated shoe of the holiday season. You have to wonder how deep DeRozan’s closet is with all of these classic Js that he’s wearing. The fact that he’s worn a different pair every single game is pretty awesome. What are your thoughts on DeMar’s onslaught of Jordans this season? Should he switch it up by wearing other sneakers, or should he keep bringing the Jordan heat from his closet?
