Nike Roshe Run FB “Leopard”

The Nike Roshe Run FB “Leopard” was seen last year in the form of a handful of sample pairs but the wild colorway has now shown itself today through several pictures. The FB model of the Nike Roshe Run sports a tighter fit and a swoosh on the toe box due to its soccer inspiration. This colorway of the sneaker is a Bright Orange / Black Leopard print throughout with a matching outsole and liner but contrasts with a Volt swoosh. You can view the Nike Roshe Run FB “Leopard” above and stay tuned for release information as this sneaker is slated for a Fall 2013 release.

Armed Forces Spotlight: A Salute to Soldiers Who Have a Passion for Sneakers, Part 1

Sneaker enthusiasts come in all different shapes, sizes, and from many different walks of life. We have the honor of having men and women serve in the military to protect our rights and freedoms every day. With today being Armed Forces Day, we decided to take a look at soldiers who serve and love sneakers. When not in government issued gear, these men and women rock extensive collections of sneakers. With the branches of the United States Armed Forces stretching to every corner of the Earth, no two collections are the same. As we celebrate May being Armed Forces month, check out the first part of the Nice Kicks Armed Forces Spotlight, where eight soldiers share their passion for sneakers.

Nice Kicks: How many shoes do you currently own?
SGT Cedeno: Currently around 95-100.

Nice Kicks: What is the favorite shoe in your collection?
SGT Cedeno: I would have to say my favorite shoe in my collection is my Carmine 6s.

Nice Kicks: What do you attribute your love of sneakers to?
SGT Cedeno: The culture of NYC in the early ’80s. As a toddler, my uncles would buy me all kinds of kicks to keep me fresh. I vividly remember getting my first pair of shell toes and fresh pairs of BKs (British Knights) as a little kid. It’s something that has never left me, and I’ve loved sneakers ever since.

Nice Kicks: Has being in the military helped or hurt your ability to cop the shoes you want?
SGT Cedeno: It helps with building connections more so than copping shoes. Everyone with a stable job can cop shoes. In the military, a person is forced to move around quite a bit during their respective career. As a person who collects sneakers, this is beneficial in some aspects because you get put into markets that you never had an opportunity to collect in. Getting stationed in Europe for instance, is a blessing due to the exclusive releases, and different consumer climate down there. If I were to ever get stationed in Japan?! Forget about it! It’s a wrap! I’d go crazy and cop everything over there.

Nice Kicks: What is the craziest thing you have done for a pair of kicks?
SGT Cedeno: I’ve sat through some frigid nights and mornings in Syracuse, NY. I remember in November it being brick outside, like 9 degrees, and me sitting for like 8 Hours with hand warmers, two coats, gloves, and two pairs of pants waiting for the Galaxy Zoom Rookie/Olive 9 release. It took 3 hours for my feet to thaw out and feel normal after that night.

Two colorways of the Air Jordan 8 have released in just over a month. Though they did well upon release, the “Aqua” 8 remains the consensus favorite among sneaker enthusiasts. This week in Celebrity Sneaker Stalker, we saw two titans in the sneakers community rocking the vaunted kicks. Attending his cousin’s graduation, Victor Cruz let his kicks do most of the talking by pairing jeans with a button-up shirt and black 40oz Van NY hat. Revered sneakerhead DJ Clark Kent opted for a colorful crewneck sweatshirt by Fashion Geek Zo, jeans, and a Leaders 1354 New Era fitted hat. adidas Basketball honors standout player Damian Lillard with this new version of the Real Deal sneaker. Named after the player’s achievement, the “Rookie of the Year” edition of the Real Deal is filled with some pretty dope details.

First off, the sock liner feature Damian’s Twitter handle, an Oakland satellite print and “9800s” to represent his neighborhood blocks. Draped in Purple and Red, this new version pays homage to the player’s career thus far – Red for high school, Purple for college and Black for the Portland Trail Blazers

The super limited shoe was made specifically for friends family, with only 510 pairs in production. A few extra are rumored to hit Compound (Portland, Ore), Shoe Palace (Oakland, Calif.) and adidas.com on May 23rd. Fans can pre-order a pair today at adidas.com or join Damian at Compound on May 23 between 6:00pm and 7:00pm for the official launch and a chance to meet the Rookie of the Year and get an autograph.

Solange Knowles attended the Belvedere party in Cannes wearing the same $2,623 Roberto Cavalli Printed Silk Twill Jacket Karolina Kurkova wore for her appearance on the Today Show in March.

While Karolina styled her jacket with a white Roberto Cavalli button down, $1,495 Marissa Webb leather pants, and $698 Ruthie Davis Captiva Pumps, Solange rocked the matching $1,271 Printed Wide Leg Trousers and a green clutch.

The printed blazer has padded shoulders, a shawl collar, and buttoned cuffs.

This one is tough! I love that Solange went with the full suit, but I’m also feeling Karolina’s getup. It’s a tie for me.

Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” (Another Look)

Though the release date has been pushed around, one thing is for certain – the “Toro Bravo” Air Jordan 4 is guaranteed to feed the hype. As for the confusion, it doesn’t stop at the release date. Rumor has it that the shoe is built from suede, though the images reflect a nubuck construction.

Reminiscent of the 2009 “Toro Bravo” Air Jordan 5, the eye-catching kicks feature a full Toro Red upper, with a contrasting Black midsole, lace system and reinforcements. Grey is used as a highlight coloe throughout the design, giving the shoe’s a true retro look. Nike Free Woven “Navy”

Nike Sportswear rolls on with new colorways in the laceless-styled Nike Free Woven. The pair seen here sports a navy blue upper, which is built from a combination of textile and leather. Meanwhile, white and orange elements are actually woven into the design. Still no word yet as to the shoe’s availability at Nike dealers, but we will keep you posted as time goes by.
