The 2012 USA Basketball team may not be the 1992 Dream Team, but Nike is offering a look at what this year’s players would look like outfitted as part of the ’92 squad. Popping up at the Beverly Hills Foot Locker House of Hoops, the USA Federation Retro Uniforms are replicas of what the Dream Team wore in Barcelona, only with James, Bryant, and Durant on the back. Featuring the classic USA Basketball logo screen-printed across the front, the jerseys are made up of the modern Nike Hyper Elite material (for on-court performance purposes?). With many people not happy with the edgy font used on the 2012 makeup, this could be a strategic distraction wrapped up in a 20 year anniversary tribute.
